We do have Fox Red Lab Puppies available on a limited basis. We like to speak to potential families over the phone prior to accepting a deposit.
We at Apple Tree Farm breed English type Labradors. Our number one goal is to produce quality puppies, with excellent temperaments. We breed Fox Red Labrador Retrievers as a hobby. We currently have three dogs as part of our family. Our dogs live in our home with us and we only have 1 to 2 litters of puppies each year. The Labrador Puppies are raised with our family and given much time and socialization. We carefully plan each litter of puppies taking into consideration temperament, health and genetic clearances of the parents as well as conformation true to breed type.
We place our puppies with their new families in order of date of deposit. We accept a 250$ deposit that is refundable up until the birth of the litter. At the time of birth, families are expected to make a firm commitment. We understand that family circumstances can change which may make it difficult to take a new puppy home. Therefore, after the birth of a litter a deposit can be transferred to a future litter but is non-refundable.
When the Fox Red Labrador puppies are 7 weeks old we work with families in order of deposit placed to help them choose the puppy that best matches their family style and needs. Our litters of Labrador puppies tend to be very consistent in size and color so without collars, many times a visitor cannot tell one puppy from the next.
We have high standards at Apple Tree Farm. All of our breeding dogs must pass
all of the health tests recommended for Labrador Retrievers. When looking to choose a Fox Red Labrador Breeder be sure to ask if the following Labrador Health Testing has been completed: EIC genetic test, PRA genetic test, CNM genetic test, and DM genetic test, Current CERF exam, OFA hip and elbow clearances. The CERF exam is to be done once every 12 calendar months. It detects juvenile cataracts, retinal folds and other debilitating and hereditary eye diseases that can come about at an older age.
